Why Starry Night
This is a good question. Why a magazine? Why the name? Why with students (1st ESO, at IES Melide, Galicia-Spain)? Why the 'development of creativity' subtitle? The only possible answer (let us not forget we are Galicians) is another question, 'Why not?' Creativity is often outside school patterns, taking for granted it is a 'minor' part of our intelligence. 'Starry night' is the title of the masterpiece of one genius (Van Gogh) who could have moved the world...if they had let him do. We want to let people do. We want our students to do, to create, to lead us to new worlds, to new solutions, to new paths... We want their minds to be open, and we want them to multiply the meanings of things. Let us give space to that. We know how we start, and the wonder of it is we do not know where or how it will end. This is only a presentation, and as food for thought, Sir Ken Robinson's words, below on the video. Enjoy it!
